When Was It Created? |
This site was developed in February 2009 after the first meeting of the CLASS Act Coalition’s executive committee. |
|
Why Was It Created? |
Its primary purpose is to facilitate communication and coordination among organizations working to get the CLASS Act enacted in the 111th Congress as part of health care reform.
The benefits of using this site are:
· Everyone has access to the most up-to-date materials in real time, including draft versions of materials.
· Everything is organized in one location.
· It can help to generate ideas for advocacy efforts by listing categories of all possible resources and tools (for example, a social networking presence that has not yet been developed). |
|
How Does it Work? |
This site’s content is to be developed collaboratively by coalition members who have been granted editing rights (referred to in Google sites as “collaborators”).
Collaborators help to develop the web site by clicking on:
It’s as easy as that!

What's On It? |
Public content - includes fact sheets, reports and other resources that are otherwise publicly available.
Restricted content - consists of separate Google documents that are linked to from this web page:
· Advocacy log for Senate: a spreadsheet intended to track and coordinate national advocacy efforts by coalition members.
· Advocacy log for the House of Representatives: a spreadsheet intended to track and coordinate national advocacy efforts by coalition members.
· Contact information directory

Who Can See the Restricted Content? |
Restricted content can only be viewed by staff from CLASS Act Coalition member organizations. Access is granted to individual email addresses, therefore consistent use of email addresses is required (i.e. work vs. personal email address).
To request access to restricted content: 1) send an email to: acosta@thedpc.org. You will then be invited to view the site and its related document described above.
2) The invitation will ask you to sign in to your Google account or create a Google account if you do not already have one. This is a very brief one-time process. After that, the system recognizes users by their login and no password is required.
